Hans Zeitzschel
Hans joined TypeMates as a trainee student, supporting the team in creating fonts. To him, type design exists at the tension of systematic rigour and creative freedom.
Hans is studying Communication Design at HAW Hamburg. It was while working with grids that he discovered his fascination with typefaces and the interplay between letters. By reviving an old print typeface and drawing various type projects, he explored form and detail. This work sharpened his eye for the craft. His graphic design work is influenced by the merging of analogue and digital media, texture and precision.
